DCNF 2009: The Event

Digitas and its brand content entity, The Third Act: hosted the second annual Digital Content NewFront on June 3rd in New York. At the 2008 event we explored and helped to evolve the brand content and distribution landscape. In 2009 we continued the conversation to advance the business of brand content produced exclusively for digital distribution and activation. Our 2009 theme was "The Digital Content Marketplace".

Leading the digital content marketplace discussion was former U.S. Vice President and Current TV co-founder Al Gore, followed by Q&A.

Additional perspectives were added through conversations with major brand marketers, content creators, distributors and measurement partners. The day's events also included an entertaining live version of the popular digital talk show TomGreen.com. Comedian and former host of MTV, Tom Green, interviewed influential content creators and producers live from our stage.

Emceeing the day was College Humor's comedic duo Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld, creators and stars of the popular online show Jake and Amir.

Live streaming partner Revision3 livecasted the day on the Web, complete with roving reporters. Our Soapbox Breaks gave voice to many of the most celebrated and promising content creators to showcase and discuss their offerings. The day concluded with a cocktail hour accompanied by a "Ones to Watch" reel and an opportunity to mingle with content creators and talent.
